Becky Lambert’s love of a camera literally began in the playpen, when she was given a Fisher Price Pocket Camera in 1974. When she received her first film camera at age 7, family members and friends quickly became models. Not realizing that her passion could indeed be her work, Becky pursued other avenues for several years. She enrolled in a community college for business courses and a plan to carry on her family’s business for another generation. Saving her photography elective until last, as a reward for learning the other, Becky soon realized that in order to be true to herself she must follow this photographic path. At that time, she transferred to Sweet Briar College where she declared a major in Studio Art.

In July of 2004, Becky opened Lambert Photography, but later changed the name to Big Door in order to internally inspire a bit more creativity. Big Door Photography is located in Lovingston, Virginia and is currently accepting freelance assignments from Central Virginia and beyond. Becky combines her technical skill, photojournalistic approach, and sharp eye for creating artistic images in order to provide her clients with a wide array of photographic services. Her main goal is to create interesting images that not only meet, but exceed the expectations of her clients.
